brochure folds

Printing and marketing

The two most common folds for simple brochures follow:

Accordion Fold or Z-Fold (also zigzag fold):
A method of folding tri-fold or multi-panel brochures in the shape of a Z or zig-zag. All panels are normally the same size.

Roll Fold or C-Fold (also tri-fold / standard brochure fold / spiral fold):
This is the most common type of fold for tri-fold brochures, where each panel of the brochure is folded as if it were rolled inside. Depending on the thickness of the paper, the last panel(s) may be cut slightly narrower than the other panels so that it closes properly.
