EPS
Computer Graphics
A common file format that stands for Encapsulated PostScript.
EPS files are preferred for corporate logos and line art.
An advantage to EPS files is that they are typically saved as vector art (made up of lines and curves) can be scaled to any size and placed with transparent backgrounds.
Vector EPS files can be opened with Adobe Illustrator (or equivalent programs) or converted to an image file by opening in Photoshop (or equivalent photo editors).
EPS files can also be RASTER GRAPHICS (made up of dots) that cannot be scaled to any size, such as those saved in Photoshop.
