Typography
A font is one size of one complete alphabet, with figures and punctuation marks, within a particular typeface. For example, Helvetica Black, 12pt, is a font of the typeface Helvetica. A typeface is a family of fonts that might include multiple weights and variations (normal or “roman”, itallic, bold, small capitals, etc) and sizes.
Traditionally, in hot-metal composition, the font represents only one size of typeface. With digital typefaces, the font is scalable in size, and so the term is less exact.
